Dinner Time

Today we finally got the OK from the doctor to let Jasper have some rice cereal. He is only allowed rice cereal for the next two weeks. Then if all goes well, he may try oat cereal ... so things won't be moving very fast. His eczema on his cheeks and neck have been driving me and him both crazy. It bothers him in the day, and at night. We think he's allergic to dyes and perfumes on people's clothing, blankets at day care, etc. And it could still be from his formula.

Here are a few pics from dinner tonight.

I have struggled with how to define this site. This site began when we began IVF. The plan was simple. Pay lots of money to good doctors, conceive, give birth and use this site to update the family. My plan failed. But God's plan was better. And now that I have come to the other side I am so thankful for where He has led us. Today we have two beautiful, happy, adopted children - from fostercare. Petra is a joy and the heart of our home. We brought her home at just 2 days old from the hospital. I will never forget the day I received a phone call saying that there is a little girl can you come get her today! Jasper, is a mother's boy all around. At 12 months old he is trying his best to keep up with his big sister. And now, looking back, I see the wondrous hand of God as he shaped and formed our family. And I can't wait to see what else He has in store for us. No longer is this blog focused on infertility (although I may touch on it from time to time), but it is about the love and joyous life we have been provided. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jer 29:11
