Blessings from above

The past few weeks have been so busy, stressful in some ways, and very rewarding in other ways.

Yesterday, was a perfect example.

The day started off nerve wrecking. Thomas had his oral defense for his prelim exams. His final test was scheduled for 10:30. So he spent most of the night reviewing everything. And Jasper woke up with what appeared to be a severe injury--he wouldn't open his eyes. His right eye was swollen and red. It scared us pretty bad to see him try to play with a toy with his eyes closed ... using his sense of touch to discern rather than his sight.

Within about 30 minutes from the time we woke up. I was heading to the hospital with a little boy who still wouldn't open his eyes. And Thomas was heading to his test.

Things got better quickly.

Within a few minutes of leaving, Jasper started to look around. And by the time we saw the doctor, he was walking the hallways of the hospital trying to escape from me.

Before Thomas went in for his test I was able to relay that it was only a scratched cornea and everything would be better in a day or two.

And Thomas once again excelled in his school work - yesterday he officially passed all his preliminary tests. He is now ABD and ready to move forward.

We celebrated last night. Good news all around and blessings from above.
We are so thankful everything work out so well.
